Our History: MP Artworks Co-Owner and Founding Artist Micah Parker has been creating ketubot (wedding contracts) since the early 1990s. Although he initially created ketubot locally for friends, Micah launched Micah Parker Artworks in 1996, with the help of his soon-to-be-wife, Mindy. Read More
In 1999, Micah and Mindy were married and realized -- even more -- how important it was for couples to find wedding items that reflected their own unique tastes. They experienced first-hand how every couple wants “their” wedding, “their” ketubah and “their” chuppah to be “special” -- and not just like what everyone else has.
As the business expanded, Micah felt the need to focus each product line to offer unique – yet affordable – items, and in 1999, e-ketubah (the predecessor to today’s Ketubah Studio) was born along with e-chuppah.
Fast-forward to 2012: We at MP Artworks have been around for almost 16 years and, in the process, have helped thousands of couples find the ketubah that is perfect for them. Show Less
Our Philosophy: “Art for Love & Life” isn’t just a slogan. It is our philosophy, and it extends to each of our product lines. Read More

Micah Parker | President, Owner, Co-founder and Primary Artist
What Micah Does at MP Artworks: As the company's co-founder and marquee artist, Micah is in a special position to personally oversee and play an active, hands-on role in both the production of the artworks we create and the development and continued improvement of our product lines. (We're perfectionists, so you don't have to be.)
About Micah: Micah has been the company's driving creative force from designing ketubot for friends in the early 1990s to MP Artworks' official founding and first Internet presence in 1996. Today, he continues to innovate both artistically and behind the scenes.
Favorite Thing About MP Artworks: One of the things I really like about this business/market is the feeling that I have been and still can be an innovator in my field. When I started creating ketubot, every other artist was doing very traditional "border-around-text" designs as either originals or lithographs. I was the first to market giclee prints and truly non-traditional concepts on any kind of scale, as well as offer multiple, non-traditional text choices, such as interfaith texts. I also was the first to create ketubot in a digital medium, which led to us being able to offer customization options that no one else could do. Because of what I've done in the past, the industry is now different. And it's pretty cool to know that the competition is following you.
All-time Favorite Quote: "Humpty Dumpty was pushed."
Current Favorite Quote: "If it first you don't succeed, skydiving is probably not for you."
Artistic Influences: Claude Monet - An innovator in his time, whose work is still relevant and who didn't starve as an artist. M.C. Escher A mathematical genius, the first to really blend mathematics and art. (Something I do in a lot of my work.) Romero Britto His work is just so fun, and his work ethic is just as admirable. (He usually paints 14 hours a day.) Theodor Geisel Who doesn't like Dr. Seuss?
Esta | General Manager/Sales Manager
What I Do at MP Artworks: Esta oversees the day-to-day business operations for the entire company, from accounting and human resources to quality control at all stages of the production process.
About Esta: Our very own native New Yorker and EastEnders fan(atic), Esta came to MP Artworks after having owned her own business for 25 years. The experience she gained from calling on customers, managing inventory and being efficient and organized comes in handy in her position as the office’s ringleader.
Favorite Thing About MP Artworks: The laid-back attitude and dedication to delivering our clients the best.
Favorite Quote: “Eat dessert first.” – You have to focus about what you get out of the present and not think everything’s going to happen in the future.
K.C. | Client Service Specialist
What I Do at MP Artworks: If you call us up, chances are you’ll be greeted by K.C.’s voice on the other end of the line. His priority is helping MP Artworks clients in every way possible – from answering questions about our ketubot, chuppot and other product lines to knowing where each piece is in the production process.
About K.C.: The office’s king of nicknames, sayings and abbreviations, K.C. relocated to Florida from the “cold tundra” of Albany, New York, seven years ago for professional reasons and to further develop his tennis game. (He is an avid and seasoned competitor in the JCC’s league.) His former employer’s difficulties turned out to be MP Artworks’ gain when he joined our team.
Favorite Thing About MP Artworks: My fellow co-workers are friendly and always helpful, plus you never know what challenges you will face from day to day.
Favorite Quote: “Money won’t make you happy, but lack of it probably will make you unhappy, unless you’re in love big time.”
Tim | Production Manager
What I Do at MP Artworks: In addition to serving as a graphic artist, Tim handles layout and design work for ketubot and oversees the production of all ketubot and chuppot.
About Tim: Tim came to MP Artworks, after three years as a stay-at-home dad and a previous career in management. In addition to formal training as a graphic artist, he is – at heart – a cartoonist. He brings this appealing and artistic aesthetic, plus attention to detail and computer savvy, to all of his projects.
Favorite Thing About MP Artworks: The challenge of being able to work with computer applications that interest me and… the company’s overall philosophy.
Favorite Quote: “Time flies.” – It resonates, and it’s very true. Show Less
